Dear Colleagues,

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, congresses originally scheduled to be held in person are transforming into virtual forums for the exchange of knowledge. The Executive Committee commends the volunteers for their flexibility and resourcefulness during this shift; we are grateful for their continued commitment to serving the needs of the clinical neurophysiology communities during these difficult times. Until we can come together once more, these virtual events provide timely, cutting-edge scientific and research content—available globally and, in many cases, free of charge:

The IFCN website is an excellent resource for learning more about additional educational opportunities.

The Clinical Neurophysiology and Clinical Neurophysiology Practice journals continue to advancing the mission of the IFCN. The Editor’s Choice for September is “Age-Related Decline of Neuroplasticity to Intermittent Theta Burst Stimulation of the Lateral Prefrontal Cortex and Its Relationship with Late-Life Memory Performance,” Clinical Neurophysiology 131:2181–219.  Learn if Dr. Goldsworthy’s research findings encourage the idea of using neurophysiological readouts as monitoring markers in interventional clinical trials that are aimed at restoring learning or memory capacity, for example, in patients with neurodegenerative diseases.

I hope you explore these offerings to continue expanding your knowledge during these unprecedented times. I wish you good health.

Sincerely,

Walter Paulus

IFCN President
